So, I saw a commercial the other day advertising something about credit scores.

It went like this: Some guy playing a guitar in a small cramped crappy apartment, with his band mates in other rooms of the place playing along. He's singing about how he met the love of his life and married her, only later to realize she had horrible credit and they couldn't get a big house.

He goes on to say he should have used this service to find out her credit score, and not married her, and instead marry someone who has great credit so he can get his house with the big yard and such.

What the fuck? So basically, this company is saying a higher credit score is more important than true love.

What the hell is going on in this country these days? Or, more accurately, what the hell is going on with people these days?

So, I have bad credit, I'm not going to try to hide that. So let's say I meet someone, we totally hit it off, and fall deeply in love. Then this girl finds out about my bad credit and leaves me for that? WTF? What kind of a person would do something like that? Leave someone who they love for someone else with more money? I'm actually speechless.

Just so we can be clear, I will ALWAYS prefer someone whom I truly love, regardless of fucking credit score. And I can only hope other folks do too... Although these days you just don't know.

Fucking lame.

I guess I'm just an old fashioned romantic.

Or you're just not a dumbass gold digger, which some of us still think is a good thing. biggrin

Case in point: if that ever did happen to you and the girl left you, consider yourself better off, I guess. Would you really want someone who's a sugar daddy shopper all that deeply involved in your life? I say keep the hopeless romantic in you. It's endearing. Women love it. There aren't enough of you guys out there. For realz. ♥
