Great 4th: Some good and some bad:
The good: Hung out with friends and ended up playing a great new game. Walking soccer. You MUST walk, no running at all, and at all times you must have a drink in your hand. Great times.

The terrible thing about toes is that the doc will probably just tape it up and tell you to go easy on it. All those years of medical school for THAT? Not so brilliant.
Heal up and enjoy the rest of your summer. Got band camp coming up? I've been actually brought on to do some simple field instruction/marching basics at a camp in August. Yay!

Dang, you've been doing a TON of shows! I always love playing for musicals. (Once upon a Mattress is one of MY favorites -- F-R-E-D, FRED!!!! ) Usually by closing night I've re-written all the lyrics into something really sinister or off-color. It's a defense mechanism to ward off the dozies.
I'll make a trip over to your donation page! Oh! and guess who's coming down for the SF Pride parade this summer. My little drum corp has been asked to make an appearance. Contract signed and everything. Don't know if you're game for coming up for a look-see, but just an FYI.

Local theater and musicals can be so fun! Went to Saratoga (I think) couple months ago to see The Producers and it was amazing compared to the lame ass movie version. Didn't hurt that my friend played a granny. :-)
