hello my dears. i certainly hope you missed me.

the camping trip was...interesting. no, not the wild trick monkey sex orgy type of interesting...its just that it wouldn't stop raining on top of the mountain we were on. there wasn't a dry spot to be had anywhere. so, after hiking through the rain for about 5 hours and getting lost, we decided to rent of of those quaint little cabins in the valley we saw on the way to the mountain.

so, once we un-losted ourselves using our compass and very soggy map, we hopped in the SUV and found ourselves a nice warm, rustic log cabin to spend the night in. it was very warm, dry, and quaint.

we ended up heading to the local liquor store (25miles away, this is WV, mind you) and getting rip roaring drunk and running around the cabin in our long underwear. truly a great time.

sunday was the most awesomest day ever. it stunned me how beautiful WV is. the drive back to the city was quite depressing.

needless to say i think i'm into this hiking thing. headed to the sports store friday to drop like $500 on good quality gear. i didn't spend all of those years in the Marines using crappy government issue gear for nothing.

did any of you know that the Blair Witch Project was filmed only about an hour so from DC? i think i'm going camping there in a few weeks

oh, and i promise to take and post pics of things other than us getting smashed next time.
