blah blah de FUCKIN blah.
i enjoy being frightfully literate, that's why i'm completely comfortable with making the above statement.
courtesy of the volunteer work that i volunteered for to get out of work. turns out i actually enjoy it and feel a bit guilty for the original reason i volunteered, get it?
oh, the work? thought you'd never ask.
the base where i work is in the middle of a ghetto. we do a bit of community work, which i recently got involved in. now i'm helping this third grader learn to read because her frickin' teachers are too jaded to take on a less-than-easy case because its "the special ed couselor's job." so i get one hour per week with her to help her sound out her letters.
i fucking hate bureaucracy, ppl follow rules blindly and kids like this one get left behind.
