Went to my mom's for a while today. Told her about my plans for tomorrow. smile She's not thrilled, but I don't care. I'm excited!

I also burnt my thumb frying okra, but it didn't even leave a mark.

My sister in law is gone till Sunday! Yay!! I can walk around the house naked!

And Connor never ceases to amaze me. We were getting ready...

Hehehe...I think a friend of mine stopped by the house unannounced and may have spied my naked butt...and more...through the kitchen window. I'm sure it was a shock! At this point I don't give a snap, but I probably better watch it since I AM a teacher...can't have my nekked beehind showing up on Facebook! Sorry, off topic...I meant to just thank you for your kindness. Even tho' we haven't been friends here long you mean so much to me as a part of my world here. You are a sweet angel...and GORGEOUS!! I started your portrait yesterday smile

Another random day. Connor got hold of my glasses. I thought I was gonna kill him. He also got my camera all grubby.

I kicked my laptop off the bed last night when I was playing around with James. No harm done thank goodness. smile

And T minus 36 hours and counting before I have a new hole punched in me. Lol. I'm nervous but can't...

Hey there! Yeah, I guess I read a lot; it's been a habit since I was a kid. I have 4 bookcases in my living room and almost every shelf is double stacked. I like holding on to books once I've read them, and I've read most of mine more than once anyway. Keeps me (sometimes maybe sorta a little not really) out of trouble.

Right down the street from my place is a laundromat, a used bookstore, and an independent coffee shop. I throw in my clothes, get a cup of coffee, and buy a book or three. I still have more than I can read.

One of my favorite ways of choosing new books is to go to the bookstore (you can do this at the library too) and pick out the publisher of a book you already love. Like Vintage Contemporary - they have a very distinct logo & font that they use for all their authors. If they publish it it is at least worth a look.

Happy reading! Oh, and I also agree with bringyouhell. All really good suggestions. I'd also add Peter DeVries to that list.

So today was a totally blah day. I wore my glasses and stayed in bed. I did clean some but not a whole lot. smile

Took a couple of pictures of my son today, and then he stole the camera and took several of me. By several I mean like 30. They were actually pretty good considering he's 3 and doesn't know how to use a...

Ah. Yeah. But that always sounds like a good idea to me.

I started with The Book of the New Sun. Wolfe is exceptionally good, but, uh, kind of obtuse. It's a little bit like watching a David Lynch movie.

I also thought it was supposed to be it's own reward wink

IT IS OFFICIAL! I GET MY NOSE PIERCED SATURDAY!

Super excited but also a little bummed. I was hoping to get the outline of my next tattoo, but the artist sent me an email telling me how much it was gonna be and it's WAY out of my price range. frown So I'll just have to be patient and get it later. Being broke really sucks...

I had to help and wasn't wearing any sunscreen.
I now have a farmer's tan. frown
Damn Irish skin and Georgia sunshine.

Anyone know any tan lightening techniques? I'm doing cold tea bags tonight.

Yeah haha biggrin

Hmmm.. I usually put aloe vera gel on my
skin if it gets burnt. That wont lighten your
skin though, it'll just make it feel better!

Well I appreciate it. I haven't had many to talk to lately, even though I've actually tried. I've been through a Murphy's Law 48 hours, and I've been feelign incredibly overwhelmed and defeated all day, but I'm watching this documentary show on maximum security prisons and I'm just thanking God I'm not living like that....

I have in the past and am again... but I've never had any luck with online applications/emailing resumes.

Every job I've ever gotten has been when I walked in and picked up an application and returned it in person.
