I spent Saturday with a friend. We haven't seen each other in over a month so I kidnapped her.
Before I left James mowed the grass and checked the cat traps. For those of you who don't know, his aunt is a crazy cat lady. She must have at least 40 cats roaming the property. They also come across the road to our house despite the fact that we have dogs. So she brings them food over here. We never had a problem with this until the duct work underneath the house got torn out 4 times in 6 months. We got tired of heating and cooling under the house, so I called animal control for some live traps so we could catch them and they could relocate them. I don't want to hurt or kill any kitties, I just don't want them under my house. Anywho...he went to check the traps and he came back in and told me he caught something! I was excited because we'd had them for a week with no luck. Except it wasn't a cat that he caught. It was this:
The biggest possum I have ever seen. Unfortunately it was Saturday and animal control isn't open on weekends. So James drove it down the road a ways and released him. I thought it was a fluke and everyone thought it was hilarious. But then we caught another one today! I'm beginning to wonder if it's not the possums. But I think they're drawn by the cat food, so we might have to have a talk with his aunt.
Anyway, I picked her up and we went to get my nose pierced! I went to the same shop I got all of my tattoos at, so when I walked in everyone knew me.
I was kind of nervous, because before that the only thing I'd ever had pierced was my ears. The clamps were the worst part. She stuck the needle through and then moved so I could look in the mirror. It was slightly grotesque to see a 2 in long needle sticking out of my nose, but it was kind of funny to see it wiggle. I can't wait for it to heal! I want to put a hoop in it. I think it's super cute though!! 
After that we went to the thrift store and did some shopping! I got some really great shoes!
I also got some really cute clothes!
We went to eat a Mellow Mushroom. I love their pizza!! And the music is phenomenal. I could sit in there all day and be completely and totally at peace.
Then we went to the mall. We browsed Books-A-Million for a while, and went to the pets store to coo over the puppies. (I really want another rat. 
) Then we went to Spencer's and I finally found the type of knee socks I've been looking for!
After that we went to see Red Riding Hood. I was a little worried about how good it was going to be because of who directed it, but it was actually great! It kept me guessing right up until the very end. (I'm not going to give it away for those of you who haven't seen it and want to. )
We drove home and then decided to go to a friend's house. We sat there and talked with them till almost 6 am! I feel so old because I haven't been out that late in forever!
She's trying to convince me to go sky diving, but I have this thing about heights so I don't know how well that would work out. I might try it once. Just to see.
And her brother in law is also a tattoo artist and she thinks she can get me a deal on the tattoo I want next! It would be great if she could, but I told her that if not it's not a big deal. I can always save up the money.
I spent Sunday asleep except for dragging myself out of bed and going to my mom's house, where I crawled onto her bed and watched TV until I dozed off and James decided it was time to go. I love my mom. She may not always like what I do with myself, but she listens to my stories and then doesn't care if I go to sleep when I'm supposed to be visiting her.
And I found out that my sister is about to go through a nasty divorce. She's upset with me because I told her I wouldn't take sides between her and her husband. He's been my friend since before they met and he didn't do anything wrong, so I refuse to be in the middle of their fight. All I care about is that my nephew is taken care of. If that gets worked out then there's nothing else I need to worry about. I just hate that he's going to be in the middle of it.
Other than that not a whole lot has been going on. I finally sent in my application to become a hopeful (and hopefully one day a SG)! I'm so nervous, but so excited! I can't wait to find out what they say. If it gets excepted I'll post the pictures that I took as possible body shots. They are completely full of awesomeness!
