Okay. So things went from bad to worse to better.
We went to Wal-Mart yesterday and bought Connor a swing set for his birthday. We spent 45 minutes waiting on someone to go in the back and get it down. Customer service has definitely gone downhill. Anywho...I went to the bathroom while we were waiting. My cell was in my back pocket. You can probably see where this is going. Ker-sploosh! It was almost like something out of a movie with me turning around, my pants around my knees and my phone sending up bubbles from the toilet. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. My phone is my life line. It is the only way I have to get on the internet or contact anyone at all. Luckily I filled a claim with my insurance and they sent me a new one. But that was later. I fished my phone out (Ick. I washed my hands for about 10 minutes. Several ladies thought I was crazy.) I got my SD card out and prayed that it hadn't died too. I then remembered that I could put it in my husband's phone to see. It was fine. As I was breathing a sigh of relief my finger slipped and I shot his SD card across the truck. We found it about 10 minutes later. Then I had to call the insurance people 3 times in order to get everything situated. I thought things were gonna go good from there. We put the swing set up and Connor loved it! We had the best time watching him play. We dropped off the car to get fixed yesterday as well. They never called us to say it was ready so we decided to drive by there. They were closed, my car was outside the garage with the windows down, the doors unlocked, and the keys in the ignition! I was furious. This place is not in the best of neighborhoods and they basically left people an open invitation! My car may not be great but it's the only one I've got. While I was fuming about that on the way home a small thought crossed my mind. I realized that I hadn't seen my SD card in a while. So I searched my pockets and I couldn't find it. I did start crying then. There were a bunch of pictures of Connor on it that weren't on my computer. We searched everything that we had that day. Didn't find it. So I went to bed.
I woke up this morning and we immediately went to the shop so I could give the owner a piece of my mind. He started apologizing as soon as we got out of the truck. Apparently they thought we were going to show up before they closed and just pulled it out there where they could see it and then forgot to lock it up when they went home. So they took $150 dollars off the bill. I was okay with that. Then I got home and about 10 minutes later my new phone arrives! I spent most of this afternoon downloading apps. I called my mom to ask a question and she tells me she found my SD card on the floor beside her desk! So we met her in town to go get it. Things just kept getting better and better.
Hopefully the next couple of days will be pretty uneventful. I can only hope.
