The leaves are probably at their peak here. It's very pretty in the mountains now. I thought the peak might be coming a bit early, but it seems now they are right on time. There were a lot of maples that turned early in October, but most everything has turned now. It's definitely not the prettiest leaf season I've ever seen, but it is rather nice. I went out around my neighborhood and took some pictures. (You might have to go to the Blog tab to see the full size)

I saw Okkervil River last night at The Grey Eagle. They put on a great show. It was actually my first time seeing them. I'm always pleased when I go see a band I know nothing about and can really get into them. I thought they were going to be a lot bunch of pretentious indie rock wankers, but they turned out to be quite mellow guys. They are Indie rock with elements of Americana and Folk. They sound similar to Neutral Milk Hotel, The Decemberists, The Arcade Fire, or Bright Eyes, but none of these actually describe exactly how they sound. So if you like any of the aforementioned bands, check them out.
