Well we started our tour yesterday. The first show was a little rough because it had been a few days since we've last rehearsed it. I dropped an important line, but I'm not sure if the kids even noticed though. You see, I think they tuned out after about 20 min. It's a funny thing to witness; the exact moment a group of 1-3rd graders...

It's the sixth day of September and I haven't updated yet. I would like to say that I'm really busy but that's not entirely the case. I've had rehearsals for the children's shows everyday since last Friday. It's pretty impressive; in one two weeks I've memorized two shows and a bit of the accompanying classroom workshops. I'm enjoying it. I wish this could be my...

It's the last day of August. How the summer flew by!
I've begun rehearsals on another kids show that will be touring to schools this fall. It is with the same group that I worked with last year. This year we're doing two plays. One is an anti-bullying play for grades K-3 and the other is a harassment prevention play for grades 6-8. The show...

I've been house sitting for some friends. Actually it's not the house I really have to watch, it's their dog. So I should say I've been dog sitting. Some people say that dogs are more intelligent than cats, which might be true, but why is it we worry about dogs more. I mean when you go out of town, you can leave a cat unattended...

One of my cats thinks he's a dog most of the time. He plays fetch and makes me carry him around the house and pet him 24/7. In general though, I prefer cats over dogs because dogs require much more attention then I have the time to give without quitting my job, haha.

So good to see you and getting to hang with you.

That's true, but it may not be in time to save my car from melting in this heat!
elka:
I have always liked that particular myth because Persephone is one of the few names that rhymes with my real name.
Okay if you watch whole seasons of TV shows on DVD, you're still watching TV. Stop acting like you don't!
Hamlet got extended for another weekend. I was hoping to do something summery next weekend but I have to return to Denmark for two more performances.
This weekend I saw two incredible performances. First Friday night I got a chance to see a midnight performance...

I had an uneventful, in a good way, day. I drug my parents out to Mela for some scrumptious Indian food and some fine bellydancing by AliceClaire. My mom's not big on ethnic food, so she wasn't too thrilled, by My dad and I loved it. Free food is always good.

aww, happy birthday a day late.

Forget about drinking and driving, I think people shouldn't operate a motor vehicle without their morning coffee.
My downstairs roommate got beat up and robbed on Sunday, in broad daylight. It's pretty lame. They forced their way into the downstairs apartment and hit him with brass knuckles or something and fractured the side of his skull. Although I don't think he deserved it, he...

Happy Birthday brotha!!!!!!!!!!
Summer is slipping away quickly now. It makes me sad. I love the summer. Mostly because of various childhood memories of summer fun and freedom. Recently however my summers haven't been too free. Between doing two Shakespeare shows every summer and working pretty much full time, summer sometimes falls by the wayside. I'm glad I did get to go on the camping trip this year....

spoiled or burnt out - perhaps both? I've definitely been spoiled the past year, but I'm still burnt out on the mediocre sex I had before that.

Light travels at 299,792,458 meters per second, or 186,282.397 miles per second. Actually a meter is defined as the distance light travels in 1/299,792,458 of a second. Our sight depends on light hitting an object, reflecting off of it, and into our eyes where it is converted neural impulses that are transmitted to the visual cortex by the optic nerve. So therefore everything we see...

it's not that i can't work nonunion gigs. i do that now. i just don't tell them. most likely, though, i will not want to work nonunion gigs. they pay minimum $15 (most times much more), OT, double pay if you start before 8am, and time and a half on sunday. there are health benefits and guaranteed work for life. if i can make that happen, i think i will only pass up union work for artistic work that is not for any type of good money and is more for spiritual norishment instead of paying bills.

we are staying away from bele cher too. glad your opening was so awesome. I think we might be going to charlotte this weekend not sure.
Good luck with your shows!!
