I actually wanted to have a day off where I could kind of go around and take pictures of the National Guard doing what they do around here. Somehow I have ended up working every day since the storm! I was going to do that and then post a tribute to them in my journal.
The fact is, that most of these National Guard guys have served in Iraq for no less than 10 months. The people standing before us directing traffic are also hardened war vets. Really is amazing when you stop and think about it. At least I think so. That is why I wanted to do a tribute.
Anyhow, that won't happen, so I will simply thank them how and when I can!
