Went hiking at the Pinnacles this weekend website.
When I stepped out of the car I couldn't believe the silence. It was fantastic. I think I could've been happy just sitting the in parking lot and being lost in the quite.
It was a nice reminder to unplug now and then. A reminder to lose all the tech crap and ground myself.
It was a beautiful day with the temperature in the 70's. I just love to go there an lay on a rock to let the warm sun soak into me.
Witnessed an interesting event. There was a group from the Academy of the Sierras (a school/program for over weight teenagers) traveling with me through one of the caves. A few areas in the cave are narrow and other steep. So one girl was having trouble negotiating these areas. The thing I will remember for a long time is her repeating, "I can't! I can't". I hate that word. All anyone has to do is try. It's really that simple. No one is born anything. We make ourselves.
