Ran a 10K on Sunday. I hadn't trained. Body hurts. It will hurt for days. The mental games are great when the body is under duress for a sustained and prolonged period of time. I thought of two friends that had died in a car crash when I was in college. I thought how they couldn't run. I thought of what, if they had a moment to return from the after-life and where next to me, their perspective would be. They would be like, "You're alive, this is fucking great! Feel the pain, embrace the pain, You're alive, you're alive!!! Don't waste one moment decaying on a couch or with other worthless shit. There WILL be a time when you no longer wake to this world. Live now!"

I hadn't thought about Brad and Abe in a while. Two great people that left us early, a solid reminder to actualize my potential.
