It was not a bad day, really. There is a of of stuff I cannot tell you about at the office right now. It is just politics, jockeying for the best position, that is what I do and what I expect to. Reasonable people can disagree.
I came home and decided to listen to Van Halen, and then Peter Murphy. Watching The Simpsons. Trying to avoid the blog I believe I should post, but one I am afraid to. The politics of this site dictate I will be flamed. That I am not afraid of. I fear the ubberzot.
Reasonable people can disagree. I am infallibly polite in political debate. I go into a debate with a song in my heart and a smile on my face, a handshake before a word is said, and a brief embrace after the lase word is said. Because reasonable people can disagree.
I no longer see that from the opposition. Their position is that debate should be speech burning with hatred, shouting down dissenting ideas. They no longer debate; they have an orthodoxy to defend.
The initial position in defending an orthodoxy is that there are no reasonable people who happen to differ. The left has gone off the rails.
Pity.
