In the United States today, most families performed a ritual sacrifice of a turkey, which is then eaten.I made a sausage stuffing, not in the bird, cooked on a stove. And gravy. My sister made mashed potatoes, a green bean casserole, and supervised the oven as it cooked the turkey. We had apple pie and vanilla ice cream.
As ritual sacrifices go, it is not bad.
It is also a time to be with family. Even though we always fight (not me, I just walk away), I am thankful for my family. Courtney has no family that she speaks of, and Aisha's wants her dead.
I look at things differently know that I know I do not have long to live.
