I've had a pretty busy week.
I got a call back on a bartending job I applied for. I start training on Tuesday next week. I've actually worked for this chain restaurant at a different location before and I can't say it was an enjoyable experience. At least it's not another waitressing job. I'm still hoping that one of the other places I applied to as a bartender calls me before Tuesday. This place is more of a family type of restaurant, so the bar doesn't get too busy. They pay their bartenders minimum wage, which is better than the $2.25 an hour waitresses make. The money might suck, but I will be getting more experience behind the bar, so if I hate it I can apply somewhere better next time.
I dyed my hair red yesterday. Well, I used a temporary dye, so it should wash in about a week. It looks so good, I might dye it this color permanently. I'll have to ask if it's ok where I work. It's a little unnatural, but not too bright. It looks a lot like Ember's hair color in her newest set. I expected it the color to be a more subtle auburn color, since my hair is so dark and it was just a temporary hair color. The results turned out better than most permanent hair colors I've tried.
I've been getting out of the house a lot more. I've been to the park three times this week. Tomorrow, my husband is taking me on a date to my favorite Indian restaurant and then we're going to go see the movie 300. We haven't done anything together without our son in a long, long time. I might go to a show with my sister on Friday; it depends on if my mom would be willing to babysit Ian for 2 nights in a row. I'm just so tired of being stuck at home all the time. One thing I will miss a lot when I go back to work is the time I spend with my son .

I don't know how long it has been since you husband has been to Austin, but if it has been more that a few years, he won't recognize it. The "essence of its being" is still there, you just have to look for it harder - if that makes sense.
What's the latest on the job stuff?
