My husband and I never had a honeymoon, or an actual "wedding", so maybe this year we'll finally be able to have a honeymoon. It's hard to plan ahead for travel with him being in the military. They are notorious for telling him that he can get the days off that he wants, but then a week before he takes leave, changing the dates around. Hopefully we'll be able to go sometime this year. If we had the money I'd love to go to New Zealand, but we're broke so it looks like we'll be going to Mexico. My husband was born in Mexico & lived there until he was seven years old, so he knows the country a little bit. He suggests Huatulco:

It looks really nice, I hope we get to go. He claims that it's not overridden with American tourists and that it's the place where Mexicans go to vacation. He's never actually been there, though, so I hope it's as nice as it looks. I'm kind of turned off by the Yucatan and all of the big tourist spots in Mexico. I want to go somewhere were the natural beauty hasn't been spoiled by too many foreign tourists. It would be nice to get out of the country and see the rest of the world. I grew up in Germany and I've been all over Europe and I lived in Puerto Rico for a few months, but I've never been to Mexico. It's hard to settle in one place when I've traveled most of my childhood. I hope he gets stationed oversees next, we've been stuck in one place for far too long.

That place looks beautiful. It is difficult to find a good place to vacation that isn't overrun with tourists.. not that I'd know.. I can't afford to go anywhere.. wink

I hope everything works out and you guys have a great trip!

Just a forewarning, Pan's Labyrinth is rated R and for a kid probably really scary. Also it's pretty gory.
Thanks for the compliment on the tattoo, I'll tell my wife you said so!
