Merry Christmas!!!
I've had a bit of bad luck lately but at least I finally got to meet my husband's family and I don't have to spend Christmas alone.
I fell off of a ledge in my apartment, about 12 feet. I fractured three bones in my right foot and also compacted it a little. My left foot is also severely bruised and swollen. Both had to be casted up and I was not able to drive or walk around. They would not grant my husband emergency leave from Iraq (probably cause of the holiday season). His father was able to take some time off and bring me from San Antonio to Oklahoma City so I could have some help getting around and taking care of my animals. Originally they said I may require surgery. After seeing x-rays today, I may heal a lot quicker than they originally estimated. I might even make it back to San Antonio in time to go to school. My biggest concern was that my injury would hold me back for a semester, since I don't know anyone who could drive me to school everyday. Unfortunately, I don't get to see my husband, but I think everything else is gonna be alright.
