okay - time to elaborate on last night. met up with Monet on the eastside for some $2 drinks at the landmark. bumped into nightclover and a couple former members of the site.
i'm looking for a "rebound girl" half-assedly, but there weren't many there that caught my fancy. so i took off pretty early and went back to my regular haunt (cactus club) for some more libations. after a few drinks there, i crossed the street to 'baldi's for $1pabst night where i knew my homeboy rhino would be. he was fucked up already. 5 glasses of scotch will do that to a guy. so we do shots of some horrible cinnamon crap with these old guys.
there was a girl there with a puppy. her eyes were wet with tears. she could barely stand up, but that didn't stop her from making out with the bartender. the grill was closed or i definately would've blown my diet on a dozen chicken wings.
diet update: i've shed 15 pounds since march. going from 210 down to 195. one day i woke up so dehydrated and hungover that i tipped the scales at a feather-light 191. i fluctuate a lot, though in january 2003, i was a slender 175. that's where i want to get back down to, while still enjoying conejito's every once in a while (mexican food is good for you, right?)
back to the story. ryan was so fucked up. he was staggering around, and he actually tried to start a fight with me at last call. for the record, he would've lost, but i left anyway and went back to the cactus for a couple of shots at their last call, then the short jaunt home. i pulled up out back and the commodore back door was open, so i went in through the kitchen and grabbed a pitcher to go. jimmy, the tender, cruised by with some pabst after cleanup, and rhino stumbled in a few minutes later.
we drank until 4:30 in the morning, and i woke up at noon today feeling absolutely fresh & giddy. i did take a series of explosive, foul-smelling shits, but hey - that's only a side effect of the whiskey. it's been a hell of a week, and i hope to see all of you SG'ers (& friends) down at the cactus for taco thursday. i wouldn't miss it for the world.
