Today it has been 84 days since I moved into my new pad. Last night was the first night it really felt like "home" to me.
Today it has been 100 days since I came back from my trip to Maui. That was also the day my wife left me to live with her folks back in North Carolina. It sounds bad that she would rather live with her parents than me, but things had been pretty shitty for a few months. Even knowing that this was for the best all the way around, it still fucked with my head for a couple weeks. I started drinking heavy by night, and doing tanning sessions by day, my personal hygeine fell off the map.
So now, in the interest of moving on, I have contacted an old girlfriend of mine from back in the day and made arrangements to fly her up next week to hang out and go camping. I have an (8 or 9?) month sexual dry spell on the line here, and she knows her role is to get old Joey back on the horse. Of course now I'm questioning myself as to whether or not this is a god idea. It seemed great at the time, but when you're dealing with someone you haven't seen in three years, you're opening the door for some sort of weirdness to come in and fuck shit up. I'm discovering my age, especially remembering the day I deflowered this girl, just shy of a decade ago in my parents queen bed.
I think she gave me crabs somewhere along the line, but forgive and forget, you know.
I guess the underlying theme of this journal entry is confusion. I came back from Maui 100 days ago to a new life, and I have no clue as to what I am going to do with it. I mean, the possibilities are endless, I can move anywhere I want now and nobody's going to hold me back. And after 2+ years of married life (which by the way is the biggest cop-out to a life of laziness) all this new freedom is a bit overwhelming.
