frown frown i feel ill today. my rat is dead. i cant stop crying. every time i look at her cage or anything remotely having to do with her i cry. i found some of her poo on the kitchen counter today for when i cooked with her in the kitchen with me...... frown i miss her so very very very much. no more rats for me. no way im not putting myself through that again.
me and guitar_wolf are thinking about a chinchilla. i just want the pain to stop. brian searched for tweak last night in our bed. and kept looking @ me with this sad puppy face. and alls i could do is cry and tell him she's gone. you know they say it takes a year to grieve a lovedones death, dose that only apply to humans ? or dose it apply to your animals too? cuz i feel like this pain will never stop. i just want to dig her up and hold her. even though i know it would stink something feirce. i love her that much.....

For some reason, I only ever cried for my first hamster. I cried when I realised we'd have to put down one of the babies our guinea pigs had when I was a child, but not for the actual event. I cried when my ex got to keep our cat, but not when he called to say the cat had to be put down because he was really sick. I don't know how I'm going to react when my current cats die. I'd like to think that I'll cry for them, but I don't know if I will. It doesn't mean I'm not sad, which is the strangest part. And I cry during commercials, so it's not that, either.

Don't rush into getting a new pet. I hope you feel better soon.

I am so sorry for your loss. One of my bestest girls ever, Piggles Wiggles, passed away thre weeks ago. She was almost three, and I still can't believe she made it that long. She was one of the best rats I have ever had. I have lost 12 rats over the years, and I miss every single one of them. Sometimes I forget they are gone and rush to play with them, only to be so dissapointed. I hope your pain eases with time, but remember that she loved you and had the best little rattie life with you. She is probably watching over you from her rainbow bridge, sending little rattie kisses your way. Hope tomorrow is easier for you.
