I had to go to Washington DC for a few days for work, and also visited my mother and sister.

Yeah .... foxes are pretty damn cool ... but the deer was the best. I was standing in the middle of Lawrence seeing if I could find a bus and out of nowhere a deer lumbers across and into the park.
I couldn't believe what I saw. I had my mouth open for so long ... then the bus pulled up. I still thought it was so surreal.

That, or sleeping in a moving vehicle, that's toasty warm/room temp.
As for halloween parties. I'm headed to a kink night at a local bar in calgary. Going as the Merovingian from Matrix... just have to dye my hair... and put on my suit.
