THURSDAY SEPT 19TH @ The ECHO with
Lydia Lunch and The Anubian Lights
Seksu Roba ( www.seksuroba.com )
The Echo 1822 Sunset Blvd. Echo Park, CA 213.413.8200 www.attheecho.com
come see me play theremin! if you can't come to this show come see Seksu Roba sep. 27 at spaceland with Tipsy. or wait another week and see us at the derby. it's a busy friggin' month for me. plus we get to go to florida with lydia in oct or nov not sure...
i'm also playing theremin as part of a small group doing live accompaniment to a silent film - should be really interesting. but it's really expensive ($25). look for the silverlake film festival website if you're curious. it's the closing event.
other than all these shows i'm stuck at home recording. recording recording recording. no time for fun. thank god for suicide girls for giving me something to do when i need a break. and thank god for chloe. i can't say it enough times - i'm in love. i'm going to write a song for chloe.

How did the show go?
the show went pretty well seems like. i usually go into my own little world when i'm on stage but from what i could tell there was a good amount of people and when songs finished i felt good vibrations from the crowd - and cheers whenever my bandmate did something crazy. we ended up going on later than intended cos of some stupid wine tasting thing that went on too long. then there was this dj who was on stage (WHY???) so we couldn't set up during the wine tasting - so as soon as they finished they rushed us to get on set up and start. not very cool. sound guy was a total jerk, just standing staring at me as i'm plugging in shit. started yelling at me. never had such a blatantly asshole-ish sound guy before. anyway it worked out favorably since no one missed us since we went on later. i was just worried about lydia starting later. i guess she actually saw us and liked us and was even dancing a little. that right there is enough for me. plus we sold a good amount of cd's and lp's so that's always a good sign.
lydia is a force of nature. she's like this angry fiery ball of bitter beauty. she's big and bold and back to kick some ass. i'll get you video. hopefully it won't be too shakey.
anyway, hopefully we'll do some shows up north in SF and seattle and hopefully portland too. talk is of doing this maybe early next year though since they want to finish recording lydia's album. i want to finish our album too.
rock n roll!
