How does one deal with watching the drive, determination, want, and desire be slowly pulled out of those they love through excuses, unwillingness, selfishness, and ignorance?

The consist search and ability to find the reason to say no confounds and irritates me to no end.

We do our best to instill the tools and ideas our kids need and pray they make the best decisions as they grow. We have no control nor say sometimes hey. It's not easy that's for sure.
