I forgot how much I love Virginia Beach.
I've been AFK for a few days now thanks to a massive storm with widespread line damage. the power's been out for three days, and even now, I'm typing this on my phone. But did that stop me from following my plans to head down to the beach with a couple homeboys? Nope. Some things have changed since I left for Hawaii five years ago, but it's still the same great town. Although, I did feel a bit like a tourist today. I just happen to know my way around already. Now I just need to see if my favorite old dives like Sandbar are still there.
Also, I'm taking advantage of the situation to do something I've been meaning to for a while. I only brought film cameras for some good, old-fashioned velvia love. One roll down and a day and a morning to go.
Now itms time to kick back and bellow out my old war cry. TO THE BAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

Heh. I hate the hustle and bustle, but that goes with any city. I mostly love the beach, the fact that a bar is almost always within stumbling distance, and watching silly tourists. If you could put a beach in the mountains within walking distance to a forest, I'd never leave.
