I've decided I'm going to quit smoking pot. I know for a fact that when you quit one vice, you pick up another. So... with pot out of the question it means I'll either eat more pizza or drink more coffee... which both cravings have gone up.
I'm not going completely cold turkey, and I've quit before.. (damn college). I got 2 big visits coming up with 2 old friends from 'da shwa' that I would kick myself for not getting toasted with. But I can see by the end of September I'll be pot free.
I'm going for a new state of mind... see what clarity can do for me. What's after pot?
Sugar. I'm going to try and cut my sugar in take in half to start. I don't eat a lot of sweets as it is... but I'll be damn'd if I'm going to let this baby fat take over my body.
I think sugar will be worse than pot.... why? Cause Pot, high sugar coffee, chocolate bars, donuts and pop tarts are a knee jerk reaction to the snack attacks. I tried replacing baby carrots with sugar before.. but it didn't work when someone told me carots are high sugar.... which really.. it's a high sugar vegetable.. which is still better than candy.
I wish people wouldn't make me 2nd guess myself.. as I enjoy carrots emensly.
Will I follow through with this? Most likely not.... but I'd like to at least try.
Oh love, where my love be
to see-oh to see where my love will be
a wandering I will go.. a-wandering I will go
Yea, I'm a poet... not really.. but I can try right? I'm so happy no one reads this.. I could be very embarassed....
It's 12:03 am (0:03h).... I should be in bed.. but I gotta build a database
OH! And get out of the city August 12th.. if you have never seen a meteor shower in your life.. I strongly suggest you get miles from the city lights and see the meteor shower... around midnight. It's amazing!
**edit**
Sune is gorgeous
Today, I said no to beer (the 12th) and giving up sugar... not remotely going well *twitch* *twitch* *twitch*
Always appreciated!
Love,

I'm only now starting to be able to take a deep breath and feel refreshed from it.
Something that might help though is instead of replacing it with another vice, try replacing it with something more positive. Take up cycling or martial arts.
For me, martial arts has become my lifestyle. It's improved my eating habits, my lifestyle choices, confidence, discipline, strength, sex; everything I can imagine in my life that I've wanted to improve. It's not some magic pill though; it's just something I'm really passionate about that washes away stress, worry, and fear when I practice it -- and who wants to keep those things around anyway?
Well.. all the best with your new quest.
