Ditto the doctor call and sleep. See if the doctor can give you something stronger or allow you to up the dose. You should be careflu with the last part because a lot of prescription pain pills have tylonol in them and you should never do more then 4000 mg a day of Tylonol (8 extra strength or 8 regular Viccodan). Ask about antiinflamatoiries as well. They may interfere with blood clotting so they may not be reccomended in the first day or 2. Tell him you are having trouble sleeping, he might give you a few ambian or even valium. Hang in there, you have my prayers (and the remnants of my knowledge form 6.5 years in a pharmacy).

As for milkshakes, if the doctor said don't use a straw then listen to him. the suction can hamper clotting. Use a spoon or drink them straight from the glass.
