interpol are bloody amazing. twice now the song "the new" has sent me into an uncontrollable headbanging fit. the other night i listened to it through my headphones while lying in bed. i started headbanging and my headphones flew off my head and i dropped my discman on the floor 
i think they might be the best band in the world right now. they might even be better than radiohead at this point.
i only heard them for the first time like a month and a half ago. their new album is a must-buy now though.
the 5,6,7,8's are coming to Hoboken on Oct 1st. Should I go see them? I have nobody to go with. I could bring a friend, but none of my friends appreciate music like I do. Yes that is one of the things I hate most about my life, that I have no friends who I can share all of this wonderful music I like with. I've been to concerts alone before. I've enjoyed them once I've gotten there, but it's hard for me to push myself to go alone. I would like to go alone and meet new people but I am not the type to start a conversation myself usually. I guess I should force myself to try and get over that.

I think that you should take one of your friends with you to the show. Then you could go with him/her to a show that they want to see. Then you can both learn about music that you probably wouldn't have discovered on your own.
Yeah, it is hard to go to a concert alone. But if it is a really good one, it is so worth it.
