Someone wrote this to me yesterday, after I told him about the new job with EA:
'That's so cool you're gonna be programming games for them. And no matter how hard it may get man, don't give up. You now have a job that many people would kill for.'
I'm going to print that up and frame it. That will help keep things in context, if I ever stumble.
At the dojo, my buddy R.C. told me a story about how he got his chance to play pro football with the Dallas Cowboys. He got cut eventually by the team, but for a time, he lived his dream, and no matter what happened to him, he would always remember the satisfaction he felt when he first saw the Dallas Stadium roof from the playing field. I'm going to tuck that story away for a future time, when I need strength.
Shit, my whole life is going to change. It's daunting and exciting at the same time.

A guy I knew years ago worked for EA in Vancouver. He loved it. I'm sure you will too. Plus, dude, LA!
