Remember when Belle & Sebastien didn't suck? Lately, I have been listening to all my B&S CDs, and it saddens me that a band I once drove 12 hours to see in NYC just isn't doing it for me anymore. I mean, when I listen to the soulful coolness of 'Lazy Line Painter Jane', which always succeeds in making me want to shimmy like a crooner performing at the Apollo, and then I listen to the last CD, I'm astounded by the huge difference in the levels of excitement I feel. Oh well. Those were heady, creative times, those pre-9/11 days of twee.
