Bad day.

Was thorougly humiliated last night, in a way that will cost me a chance at friendship with someone I think is pretty neat.

Didn't sleep.

Went to work. Stared out the window. Dreary day. Too much air conditioning, especially since I dressed for yesterday's heat overflow.

Came home nearly in tears, about ready to end my relationship, after trying to hold on a year past the point of death.

......Opened my mailbox, and in addition to bills, investment statements, and general crap, I had 2 letters. Real letters from real girls I really know, who really like me.

I won't say my mood is much better, but the tears aren't welling in my eyes.
