It is days like today, when my whole body aches as a virus surges through me, that I regret being single. All that I need right now is a lap to crawl into; someone to stroke my hair gently as if I were a lazy cat.

You want to know something sad? Being a preschooler again really is my goal in life. I think I have more in common with five year olds than I do twenty-five year olds.

But enough of that. {in drunken frat boy voice} SHOW US YOUR BOOBS!!

I can stand being serious for no longer than sixty second increments.

When you hear an artist speak, and you remember that every moment is inspiration, when you recall that creativity is a synonym for curiosity, then, are you alive? Will you create, will you--

I live inside a ten-foot bladder lined colourfully with posters of girls, music, film, and cartoons. Escape is available through the revolving door to the hallway, or a wall of windows leading to open air, leaves, and, far below, day-glow green grass.

It is cold in here. I don't warm myself, I am a theif of heat, I must share to survive.

I call this...

My friends move like living skeletons, squeeze like living pillows. They are noisy and somber and sweet, wrinkle their noses and laugh like me.

I hide.

They seek.

I build my hell, and they liberate me.

i've been in and out of my parents house for the past few years. it's not really my home. but this time i'm just packing a bag and getting out of this town. i'm heading to victoria, and from there, who knows. it's time to just get out and let go and shake out all the demons.
reptar:
I'm afraid I can't say that. It's pretty similar, especially in the country. The cities are better though. Even Texas has Austin...

Gah!

I received nearly immediate response on a job inquiry I sent to New Zealand yesterday. He wants to set up a telephone interview. The Group Chief Executive of this company wants to make a date to talk on the phone. With me. How amazing is my life?

Tralalalala!

But--

Here's the scary decision part: He mentioned that the bulk of the company may move...

i would say for you first set...maybe do something that doesnt require asking. something at a friends house that has a nice back gound, or set up a big backdrop of white or black paper & lots of lighting. something that wouldnt require that much preperation. i dont know how the crew feels about asking around at buisnesses anyways. i would ask. i posted a long thing in the hopefuls group of some pointers that might help.
email me if you have any more questions doll!

I've hidden. I've waited. I've procrastinated. I've worked. I've been told--
erase everything.
Start over.

Sounds like a plan.

I'll go to the private jet dealer tomorrow.
chrislikewhoa:
With racing stripes!

Or maybe flames!

Then I can add an exhaust, and have a rice rocket jet, so you could hear me coming from even farther away.

Wow, the possibilities are endless.

It turns out I can't handle orchestrating the rape scene in my show. It's hitting a little too close to home.

(Flee.)

I am going traveling. My boat is my bed.

Oh yeah, Yo La Tengo. Saw them in April with crazybob. They had Sun Ra horns for a good part of the show, Georgia sang a beautiful number that I think was Sun's too, and they did the second Dream Syndicate cover I've seen them do in as many shows. (Karl Precoda was in the opening band the first time. He came out and did "Halloween" with them...I'd like to say it was amazing, but.... Karl just kinda shook his guitar, hit one note, then shook his guitar a lot. I read later that he was on a lot of acid. I can believe it.)
And YLT are already coming back to do a show in less than a month. I presume I'll go see YLT any chance I can get from now on.

Sorry about your play problems. Have fun in slumberland.
isaiah:
I don't think that'd be too hard for him. He said he'd have to charge a $1 a minute though, because he's trying to get his license.

Slumber party, giggling like schoolgirls, eyes heavy after a pack of wine coolers (and I feel dirty).

We are the types of girls that like boys better, the ones who played with bugs and wore scabs like lipstick. Piled on top of eachother like tackled football players, we tease eachother with our toes.

These are the people I would like to marry, the ones that...

I got out to Saturday Market for the first time in months. I forget sometimes how wonderful this town is.

After I finish fluttering around in the world, and my carreer in New York is solid enough that I don't have to live there, I think I'd like to come back here and stay.

I almost died tonight. Food hitting me in the chest, a disease tearing through me. I have aniphilaxis. Food allergies determined, one by one, to rip everything from my diet and leave me starving. Tonight it was asparagus.

But I didn't realize how little that mattered until I watched my friend fall apart. Who cares who is dying physically when someone is in pain so...

i can relate to living on a starving diet. food makes me sick. but what's one more struggle to prepare me for the end?

the holding only hurts when someone says 'let go'. i have some love, but it's awash with anger right now, so i best wait until it's clean before passing it down the line.
isaiah:
That really sucks. I've got a lot of health problems as well. Mine started up though when I was 19, so at least I haven't had to deal with them my whole life.

I told my roommate that I thought I could take her bra off in two moves. She asked if I was going to try, so I did.

I thought this could be my superhero skill. See a girl, whip off her bra before she even noticed it was happening. A party trick, right?

Step One: unsnap. The two finger method, reaching one hand around her...
