Fun. I spent half my life today designing buttons for the button contest here. How cool would it be if they were actually created?

Quick!! Go pretend you like them!! Vote early, vote often!

Speaking of which, I voted today. I bet I voted before you did.

Hmmm...

I don't quite know what you and clairemarie are up to, but if you want to know some specifics about local strip clubs... whatever

Well, I've been to one or two. Long story. But anyways...

Your profile pix isn't scary. I would say it's, uhm, intense??

kiss
theinsomniac:
Not so much mean as "commanding".

Awesome hair color by the way.

It took less than a week for my new roommates to turn me into a Ren Fair geek and seduce me into bed with them.

You know that strange feeling where you return to an old haunt and find it inhabited?

I've spent the day around my old uni.....it's so nice and gorgeous and cozy and warm...... Feels almost like home. But then there's a bitter taste and a sureness that I don't belong here anymore.

Are you still in Portland? If you are, are you going to still be here on Saturday? There is a show playing at the Crystal Ballroom that is going to be great because Menomena is one of the bands. They are fucking rock gods! 9pm 9/18/04, $5 to get in the door. I am definitely going. You should come out, it will be fun.

Just saw a really nice simple movie. Before Sunset.

It's a sequel, technically, but I haven't seen the first one. It's quite complete on its own. I really like it alone, and am a bit afraid it'll be tainted if I see Before Sunrise.

Before Sunrise was a wonderful, beautiful movie. It was so simple, yet romantic and honest. It had the most perfect ending in the world. I actually own it, and have recommended it to many people. I was FURIOUS when I saw that Lanketter was doing a sequel. But I've heard nothing but good things. It's playing a block away from me, and I really should see it. I would recommend seeing the first one, because it's a great story, and from what I've heard, they are meant to go together. But he actually told people that if they hadn't seen the first one since it was released, they should NOT revisit the film before seeing the new one. He said it was okay that you didn't remember the specifics of the previous film. I think that's kind of fascinating. So I've actually become excited to see it. I'm glad you liked it. smile
bhikkshu:
Yay. I saw the first one only a month or so ago. really liked the way it had no descernible begining, middle and end. It just rwambled like life itself.
Great to hear they did a follow up. Although unnecesary it sounds really good.

The irony of us talking of meeting in Rome, ay?! surreal

I wanna go to Burning Man.

But I can't. I thought I was going to be busy, but I'm not. I'm going to be making my way from Denver to Portland somehow, and I really wish that, like last year, I was going by way of Burning Man.

But I don't know anyone going this year, and it's way too late to sneak my way...

Yeah, Mulholland Falls is with Nick Nolte. It sucked less. But maybe I'm just not `artsy' or something.
