Mary Moor - Pretty Day (1982)

It's a pretty day to die.
My blue eyes in your black eyes.
It's a pretty way to die.
It's a pretty way to lie.

I just got invited by Getty Images to sell photos through my Flickr account.

This is so complicated. Is anyone else doing this or has figured it out? I'm only starting to prepare the images now. I've never really thought of selling images as stock photography, but I definitely have a lot of stuff that I wouldn't mind selling.
corsair:
Interesting thought! Please post what you find out! smile

So far, there seems to be a lot of reading I have to do to figure out the best strategy of which images to sell and which to keep for myself.

It looks like it's a fair deal for the most part, but you have to be selective in which images you give up and which you don't. The good thing is that you still get to show people your images on flickr even if you sell them. But for the images you decide to sell, you cannot sell through a different company (like Corbis, etc.). It's basically an exclusive selling contract with Getty, once you let them sell your photo.

Also, it's cool that even if you sell the images through Getty, you can still sell them at a gallery as long as they are "limited edition prints". Pretty cool.

Impressive list... nothing older though?

Oh and thank you very kindly.
oliverk:
Older? That would mean listing hundreds of films and cinematographers. I think I will just focus on the ones who are still working. smile

I hope Salliss doesn't leave us. She's one of my all time top 3 favorite SG girls. frown Even if I will never probably get to meet her anyway, the prospect of never seeing another set from her would be so sad. I hope she decides to stay and continue to inspire me. If I ever had a dream model to shoot, I think it...

thanks for taking time to respond to my question about radio slaves in the photography group! that was very generous of you!

I saw your earlier entry about Kate Moss. I have a CD with several hundred photos of Kate, as well as a copy of her book. She's pretty easy to look at . . . and the camera loves her.

My sympathies go out to all the people affected by the terrorist attacks in Mumbai. Among the dead are Indian, American, Japanese, Australian, British, Italian, and German nationals.
