Just recently started talking to a younger couple in my area. Beautiful people inside and out, great spirits, and curious minds. I've spent some time with them, both together and apart, and have had some amazing conversations about discovery, love, and adventure. Also heartache. Pain. But to see them blossoming as young adults has put my heart at ease that no matter what people go through, you can grow from the soil that's been tainted. I wish at 18 I had an older friend I could trust and confide in, because then I might not be such a pessimistic young adult. But knowing these two and spending time with them has been a flash of light in my otherwise dull life recently.
Moral of the story: Open yourself to new possibilities, talk to new people, and have some adventures you never thought you'd embark on. You'll learn some things!
