I am working from home for a little while this afternoon since I had to be on-site for a conference this morning at 6:30AM. I do not want to go back to the office. So, I will get the important "work" of updating my blog done.
I really need to thank everyone who was at Oz_the_Vamp's on Saturday. I haven't had that much fun in a while now. I was genuinely happy almost the entire day (except for the drives there AND home...they were both the drives from hell for multiple reasons). I loves you guys.
I also need to thank Tikki too...who let me stop by and steal some movies from him. 
Sunday morning I took the dog over to Dustin's...figured he could hang out there since I had to work on Sunday. Well, it was the first time he had gone over there. Dustin now lives literally JUST south of the city...right where 71, 670, and 70 meet up. We are sharing custody of the dog because he cannot afford his own and the dog seems to calm and center him. So, Dustin takes him Tuesdays and Thursdays when I have work/class from 8AM-9:30PM, then he watches him if I want to leave town or have to work odd hours. I understand the way life works...I know that when I am ready to find someone new, they probably won't be okay with me seeing my ex and sharing my dog with him...but since I don't see me settling down with someone new for a while, hopefully Dustin will be able to afford his own dog by then.
Well...I didn't want to leave until I knew my sweet fuzzy was settled in, so we went to let the dog out and see how he would handle going down the stairs. I said "Hey...why don't we let him try to go down without his leash...you stand at the bottom and nab him and put it on..." Dustin's new apartment has a private entrance, but it's on those fire-escape stairs, so I didn't know how the dog would handle them. Well, Dustin didn't stop the dog at the bottom of the stairs. The yard is fenced, I figured no problem...well, someone left the gate open. (4 other people live in the house in different "apartments") So, my sweet little puppy pie went running right towards 70E. He is running across 4-lane roads and going nuts. Some nice lady pulled over really quickly when she was trying to get onto 70 and grabbed him for me. I seriously would have died if my puppy had been hit by a car. He's the only company I have at the apartment now...and he ALWAYS makes me smile.
I am taking a second part-time job because of the fact that I no longer have Dustin giving me money each month for bills/rent and because The Mom sprang the trip to Europe on me about 2 months out and I have no money for playing there set aside. So, I will be a busy little bee for the next couple months.
