Who would have thought it was so hard to get Chinese take-out onto a plate and into the microwave? However, at one point tonight I may have flung a big spoonful of rice over my shoulder. I looked behind me and the cat was covered in it. If you've ever met my cat, just take a second and imagine him covered in rice. It was hilarious. I almost pissed my pants I was laughing so hard.

Anywho...I have had a lovely past week. I actually did stuff last week. Wednesday Trickynicki and I went to a bar to watch a band we like. Then I went out for dinner and drinks with some old college buddies. Over the weekend I got to see my mommy, Persephoenix, and Knuckles_13. (Not at the same time...I wouldn't subject my friends to my mom). Then as a close to the weekend I got to hang out Sunday evening with a fun guy who I might actually like.

I had been really down prior to last week. Several things changed that. First being the fact that I was DOING stuff. It's a trend that I would like to keep up. I spent 4 years going straight home from work, making Jon dinner, then spending the evening at home. Sometimes I am tempted to stay in just because it's what I know. But it was making me lonely and miserable. Plus, I had stopped a supplement I was taking for my migraines and after speaking to the doctor realized that that was a terrible idea and was probably affecting my mood since stopping it would have made my seretonin levels plummet. No seretonin makes for an unhappy, migraine-filled Ash.

I actually found some metal-ish bands that I really like. Previously anything even remotely close to metal would cause me to duck and cover. I figured out why I dislike so much of it. It's because I don't understand a damn thing they're saying and it makes me angry when they're growling. However, if it's metal with singing, then I am happy. For example:
