Isn't it awesome how sometimes the things you want most manage to fall into your lap? I've been wanting a baby for a while now...well...luck struck and I have a baby now!!!

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Meet Woody (as in, Woody Hayes...yes...I am a Buckeye nut)...the holy terror that is a Husky puppy. He has absolutely the sweetest disposition. He is super loving and has the most beautiful blue eyes you'll ever see.

For YEARS I've wanted a copper husky. I found an adult for adoption about a year ago when Trickynicki and I went on a visit to the animal shelter, but Jon wouldn't let me have him. Well, Dustin and I have been looking for pups and visiting shelters and looking online and last week I found a copper husky PUPPY! There was a nice lady fostering an entire little of husky pups in Crooksville, so I started making arrangements with my leasing office and getting my vet references, etc. on Tuesday, then we drove an hour and a half to get him last Thursday. We took a trip home to Grandma's this past weekend...where he played with her Morkie pup Gizmo and terrorized Grandma, then we went to Dustin's aunt's house...she has a huge adult Husky, a boxer, and a greyhound-mix. The adult husky had sired a litter or two...whenever the other dogs got rough with Woody, Rizzo would step in, give a little growl, like he was saying "stay off the pup...". It was the cutest thing in history.

I was home last weekend for the Apple Festival. It has officially lost most of it's charm for me. Although, I still require apple dumplings, I was absolutely bored there. I bought some cider, some dumplings, and some delicious homemade bread, and we are still working on getting that all eaten.

Work is absolutely nuts. I have 3 conferences this week. Plus, I have the cold of death. I am a great big pile of whiny-sissy pants right now. I have been passing out by 11pm every night just because crazy work, class, new puppy, and the cold have caused exhaustion.

Other than that, things are pretty much just skating by status quo. I wish I had tons of exciting things to say, but my life has been work, class, cuddles, sleep.

Have a great week loves! I will see some of you this weekend!
kiss

For the simple fact that it would dawn on me that things between you and him wouldn't last and we could return to our "agreement".

But Fail. He was a really nice dude, and once he started to open up a little bit, i realized that i actually liked him.

Ash: "Wait.....is your head an appendage?"

Dustin: "Really? Really?"

He won me over with that statement alone.

He then won me over even more with the in-the-car-douchebag statement, i may have to take him to dinner.

You two looked good together, and you both looked happy. That makes me happy.

I was kind of nervous to talk to you, more than anything else, i was worried we would be dealing with jealous "don't talk to Rob" Dustin, but that doesn't look like it's going to be the case.

I will probably do what i have been doing for the last couple years on my birthday.....sleep through it until it's over. Or take the bike out for a ride. Thank you for the offer though.

I still think he's far too quiet to hang around with us. You're going to need to break him of that before we hang out again. And for the record... I'm not even sure that I'm "like us." In fact, I'm probably not. Either way, I'm glad he felt comfortable.

Now back to your regularly schedule program... The weekend of Nov. 8th... Buca? Rosendales? Vanity? The answer is "yes" and you can thank me later for answering for you. wink
