When something goes wrong, the best thing to do is to assume responsibility Accepting responsibility feels awkward and uncomfortable at first which is why people avoid it, but theyre not pansys because they avoid responsibility, they actually endure more pain, more anger, more net suffering by not assuming responsibility. Blaming others is fine, but after a while, I think it just gets boring, even if its justified. Sure, somebody else might have been mostly at fault, but it doesnt mean anything. If you had .001% involvement, and things didnt work out, its ok to step up and assume responsibility. Note, theres a big difference between assuming responsibility and assuming the guilt. If you start accepting responsibility for things that go wrong, your life will improve for the better, without fail. If you blame others, youre probably projecting, and thus your probably experiencing some kind of bastardized guilt anyway that you experience as victimhood. Im guessing that people who have trouble functioning may have a kind of deep-seated desire to accept responsibility and make things right, and at the same time, they refuse to do so, cause they dont understand responsibility. They think it means feeling the guilt, and so they run around in an unfair world, screaming and yelling, or wallowing in a great confusion. Fairness doesnt matter. Who the fucking hell cares about whose at fault. If youre feeling guilty, about anything, youre lieing to yourself. It doesnt matter. Step up and assume responsibility faggot. The residual guilt will lift. Response. Ability. The ability to respond to a problem, and take action, wether or not its your fault. Wether or not its anyones fault shouldnt even enter into the decision. Accepting responsibility is an enjoyable thing to do, and one should try it out, maybe not all the time, but every once in a while. Not because its awesome, but because it always fucking works. Everytime. And its always something that is guilt free.
