When you thought you had a shitty day, it just gets worse... My dad has been diagnosed with ALS... So let the countdown begins I guess.
I think it is so sad, the my dad is only 65, he just retired , worked hard all his life...
Now at some point in the close future his life will end , totally paralyzed.. in a wheelchair or worse...
I love him...

I'm really sorry man. Losing a parent is so hard. I'm nowhere near 65 but I have a son. If I ever get sick the one thing I want most is to know he'll be okay. He loves you more. So be okay, for dad.

That's tough, wishing you strength in coping with this. I hope that apart from sharing this here, you have told him that you love him...and that you'll have opportunities of giving him some happiness in whatever time is left for him.
