---Well. I got some time to kill... and if there is something this crotchety old computer can do it's kill time. The hours fly by while I wait for a page to load. Looking at new girlie pics is nixed totally.
---Speaking of flying, I am leaving in a few hours, and getting on my plane back to the ol SF area. I'm tired. But there is no point in trying to sleep now. Sleep on plane.
-----Did my errands in the POURING RAIN. There was some thunder and lightning but not enough to make being drenched exciting. Boy, did it dump the fuck out of the sky.
I sloshed my way to the yaffa on St. Marks for my (fucker! ah just killed a mosquito!) lunch and it didn't dissapoint. The yaffa cafe has my undying devotion. I have tried to decorate my room similar to the style in there and I got more ideas this time around. It reminds me of the Weetzie Bat books, all sparkly, flowery, glinty gold and gaudy magic cheesiness.
It has wallpaper and apolstery that is a mish mash of chinese flowers, etching of naked girls and animal prints. It is lined with strings of all different kinds of lights,wrapped up in garlands of fake flowers and grapes.
My fave spot is in the far left corner by the back window, next to a succession of 3 gold pillars that hold a porcelain Quan Yin, A Balinese style Elvis lamp and a glass sculpture of a woman in classical style surrounded by these lines of water that drip along the wires diagonally looking really tripped out. And they are always open. It is Obsidity's paradise.
They were playing swedish music when I was there, from polka to rockabilly. Freaky.
And they opened a new place! That I have not yet visited. Oh well, next time around.
----I hung out with my fambly for the last time for a while and though we all started out cranky, we ended up laughing so hard I was having an asthma attack! I really just can't describe how goddamn funny they are. Fuck.It makes it so hard to leave.
----I have a lot A LOT to do, though, when I get back especially bcse next week I go back up north to work for the non profit again, which means I'll be out of town again in like 5 days...so I am kind of anxious. And I have two modeling gigs at the school on thurs and fri.yay! a little money. jeez.
