It is amazing where thoughts come to you. I mentioned the story I was going to write. The man who death refused because he never really lived. Here is the basis for that. How much of your life do you remember? The good and the bad. Both come and go in our lives. Many time we would walk like robots through our lives and hope never to feel or remember. How good is that for us in the end of our lives? I say this. You can live an eternally or die instantly. Our memories touch us in so many ways. Do you remember a certain sunset? Do you remember the first kiss? Do you remember the time you lover did something for you so wonderful despite something bad happening in their own lives?
Appreciation. That is what that story is about. You can live a life time in a few days. Or you can spend 80 years dead inside. That is our choice. That is our free will. He is a man that never learned to appreciate anything in his life. All 1200 years of it. That is why death denies him because he never really was living to begin with.
What makes me think these thoughts? Someone that came on today and wouldn't let me be sad or depressed. She cheered me up and made me realize that I really didn't have a reason to feel that way. For that I love her. And I don't think she realizes how much she has changed what I think about when I do my stories.
Bad Poetry Time:
I met a man with hollow eyes
All joy escaped his soul
He could not see before him
All the life he had been given
In shadows of his heart
No light would shine
Walking without waking
Sleeping wihtout dreaming
Who is to say
He ever really lived
