The interview went well, then they had me chop some stuff up and cook them a steak, and that all went well. They said that what I cooked was definintely good enough for the restaurant to serve.
But they felt like I didn't have enough experience to handle that station when it got busy

work's overrated... although i feel you... i took a week off after the lady arrived and i was chomping at the bit to get back to work, i don't know how someone could go sans work for very long.

I added a couple more since you commented - you were too quick for me. Those were the days! I used to take my camera into shows regularly & got quite a few decent pics.
The job wasn't quite so attractive after all then - but by the sound of it you could end up with something good before very long. Good luck.

Sunday, I have an interview and a trial shift for working the grill station at 'blue on blue,' the restaurant attached to the Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Wish me luck -- this is a big one. I'll be incredibly excited if I get this position!

I'm not as fimilar with the piercing studios in LA you may want to talk to Ericallen I know he has pierced in LA and would know much better than I do.
I hope those numbers are way overboard but I know enough to know that this whole thing already well way beyond my comprehension.
I can't get used to no fucking New Orleans any more and the shear numbers of suffering citizens. This is a monster.
