Day 1 recap:
i'll just tell you what you all want to hear: by the end of the night, when we left estelle's at 4am, dollface and chiquita were making out.

ok actually, i can't just leave it at that, there's just too much more to tell, but i got that bit out at first in case you want to stop reading early.
so kurtz and i pick up chiquita from ohare and drive her downtown to the hotel where she and jab are crashing. met up in the lobby, had a drink, then we left them alone to "catch up" while kurtz and i rolled over and nabbed dollface from work nearby, had some food and drinks, back to the hotel, on to the show, where we rendevouzed with tunnelslats.
feast of snakes (deadite and zomboid13's band) was fucking great! seriously i was blown away. kinda like misfits sped up a whole lot and played with slide guitar. was fucking fantastic seeing those 2 guys again, and they had their lady friends with them as well. it's so bad ass to party with people you used to party with on a regular basis but haven't seen in months because you moved 900 miles away, then all of a sudden they're in town and you all get to tear it up together again!
also this band the lost sounds played -- also an amazing show! highly recommended!
after the rock n roll we took over about 1/4 of estelle's and proceeded to drink til closing at 4, with the waitress at the end bringing the whole table a round of gratis shots and thanking us for being the only non-assholes in the joint. somehow, when the tab showed up at the end, there was mysteriously only 1 bushmill's listed
the mojo rides, my friends.
and so, as we're being ushered out the door with the lights on and the music off, i'll end this with where i began: dollface and chiquita making out on the sidewalk in front of the bar.
and yeah, jab got pictures
