Ok, well I fully intended to go through and respond individually to all the birthday wishes, but my laziness has overcome me, so I probably won't. Plus I have to run to work in a couple minutes.
Overall, the birthday was a big hit. It started off with the little Danish bit of excitement (technically my birthday, because we got back to my place around 4, and the sun was coming up before we were asleep), then continued with me sleeping quite late before gorging myself on barbecue ribs at Bodeans, followed by massive amounts of beer and whiskey at the Ship and the Crobar
Yesterday I lay in and recovered, then went and had a big-ass pizza, then back to the Ship and the Crobar last night for more beers. It was a good one, we had a bit of a lock-in after closing the Ship, just the employees, stuck around and had a few more beers til some time after 12.
Today, my last day at work.
Tonight, SGUK sends me off with best wishes and booze.
Tomorrow, though -- we're having a Ship employee party ON A SHIP
Oh, yes. Boat party. And believe it or not, Fuller's Brewery have (wittingly or not, the details are not mine) agreed to partially sponsor our bill of imbibement. Oh, yes, indeed, 100 booze budget on behalf of the company, just to see me off in style. How could they resist fronting for the Ship on a Ship Party?
Wednesday, I'm getting tattooed. I'm not sure what I'm getting yet. Darryl just wants to tattoo me before I go.
Funniest bit of converstation of the week:
"I don't know how to get back to my hostel by bus, only by the tube."
"Well, you can come crash at mine. I'll promise to be a gentleman."
"You don't have to be a gentleman, but you do have to wake me up by 9am."
See (most of) you tonight, kids.
