So the Yankees are up 2 games to none over the Red Sox, who have now probably lost the pitcher that was supposed to be their edge over the Yankees for the rest of the playoffs, due to a torn tendon in his right ankle that's going to require surgery to fix. Their other ace pitcher, who scares the piss out of every other team in the MLB, has lost to the Yankees yet again, as he just can't seem to bring his good stuff to a game with them. And this is how it should be. I'm not expecting a sweep, but I sure don't see the Red Sox coming back and winning 4 straight games at this stage.
But enough baseball for now.
Last night, I was tired, and having been drinking with Josh since around 3pm or something, I jetted out of the Fox around 8 and came home. However, I couldn't stand being home, as usual, thanks to my flatmate that was asking me all kinds of ridiculous questions about Powerpoint and Adobe Acrobat files, so I went back out, even though I was already exhausted. Went back down to SoHo, wandered into a desolate Gossips for some Industrial / Goth night, but it's hard to pull that off in a place that's just been freshly painted all white and had new laquered wood floors put in. Met up with a couple people from the Fox there, and we bailed for Crobar and then Borderline, which were full of other people from the Fox, so we had quite a nice crowd together.
Beautiful thing, I didn't have to pay a cover at any of the places I went. I hate paying covers unless it's a live band, especially since late-night places are always overpriced at the bar anyways. Greedy fuckers.

I can do that with an innocuous household device: I am never going near a running chainsaw.
