I need some friends that don't spend all their time in pubs.
Last night, I was gonna wander down to Garlics to hang out with Arthur and Jeanette (he's on the wagon for a few weeks and she doesn't usually drink much), and I was going to sit around and have a nice sober chat with them.
But I walked in, and Josh was in there with another tattoo artist friend of his, eating dinner and such, so I sat with them, and before I know it, I've got a beer in front of me, then we did shots, then we went to the Fox, had more drinks, back to Garlics ... I never got drunk, just a little buzzy, but still -- I was going to let my body relax for a bit.
At least I was smart enough not to go to Arts after Garlics closed, so I came home and got a decent amount of sleep.
I gotta say, though, I really can't wait til I move (this coming Saturday!) so that I feel comfortable staying at home. That's part of the whole problem -- I'm so unhappy with my current living situation, that if either of my flatmates are here, I just can't stand being around. But the only places I have to go are pubs where my friends work.
At least the night started with good intentions.
Oh, and funny coincidence of the night: Josh knows a tattoo artist back in Dallas that's an old friend of mine.
