I thought for a minute that I'd died and gone to New Orleans
The last thing I ever expected to hear outside my window in Finsbury Park, London, was a Dixieland band playing at 8.30am
That is, however, exactly what's going on right now.
And actually, they're not bad, so I'm just going to soak up this little slice of my South Louisiana heritage and enjoy it.
I could really go for a chicory coffee and some beignets right now.
They played for about a half hour, then wandered off down the street to "When the Saints go Marchin' In"

Hey there! Thanks for your welcome note in my journal
Gosh, wanna swap flats? All I hear outside of my window is a guy practising his classical piano skills and a black guy singing mariah carey and church songs

are you living there or just visiting?
