stuff came this morning. almost 12 hours ago, as a matter of fact. pretty much non-stop action today as a result:
a) movers hauling stuff into my apartment.
b) movers hauling extra stuff into a self-storage unit.
c) bowling at lanes so fucking old school that they don't even have pin-setting machines -- they have *PIN BOYS* that manually set the pins. also, they had official lane scorers that kept score on a chart for you, ensuring that you don't cheat i guess. unfortunately, they didn't keep the lanes oiled for shit and i couldn't bowl for shit as a result.
d) unpacking and arranging furniture. stereo system hooked up, desk put together, kitchen table & chairs done, couch and armchair in place. now it's mostly down to books, decorations, clothes, and kitchen stuff. it's still a daunting amount of work, though.
alright. back to work.
friday morning update: sleep around 2, up around 10 to keep unpacking. roommate bailed this morning to go to des moines with his fiance for the weekend to see her family so they can discuss wedding stuff. they're getting married in august. in the last hour, i've gotten down some tylenol, some coffee, and gone through all of 1 box.
