alright, i'm back in dallas. no wrecks or catastrophes or anything.
spent about 3 days at my dad's place, and a couple more at my aunt/uncle/cousin's place. good times. got some stuff, gave some stuff, you know that drill. first xmas since mom died, and i think we all handled it like champs. there were some tears, but not too many, and the overall mood was cheerful and celebratory. life goes on, so we go on with it, and make the best out of it we can.
it's kinda like stud poker, ya know?
i'm not feeling as morose as that might sound.
so yeah, back in big D for a couple weeks, then chicago for a week or so, then another couple weeks in big D, then back to chicago for good around the first of february.
time to hit the bar and have some drinks with some friends.
