Awwwwwwwwwww yeah
The fucking coolest weekend in ages
I left work Saturday night to drive down to Indy for the Formula One US Grand Prix. I call my friend Paul from the road to let him know I'm on my way down, and he says, "I've got some good news: this guy I work with scored us a couple of passes to the Ferrari Paddock Club for the race tomorrow."
Gang, this is serious shit. I mean, not only are they the top team in F1, but I've been nutso over Ferraris since I first saw one at about age 6.
We were sitting in this air-conditioned suite, eating a top-notch buffet, drinking stupid expensive champagne and wine, and looking straight down at the Ferrari and McLaren pit crews, and right across at the Start/Finish line of the main straight. Un-Fucking-Believable.
Ferrari won the race (first and second, actually), and the place went nuts, people toasting, yelling, swilling champagne, all of it. Then they brought the trophy up, and we got to take pictures with it. Fucking rad.
I forgot to take my digital camera, though, so I had to make do with those shitty disposable ones -- I'm hoping the pics come out at least somewhat decent.
Rock.
